Access to Higher Education Manager (Health Professions)
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher to develop the exciting new role of Access Coordinator at CLIP. You will also have Course Tutor responsibility for the Health Professions pathway so will need to be qualified in a relevant discipline.
CLIP is highly committed to Access to HE and has extensive experience in delivering a blended Access programme in the more isolated areas of Lincolnshire, starting in 1998. However, funding availability has been limited in recent years. We are thus delighted that we have just been awarded an Advanced Learning Loans facility in our own right which marks the beginning of sustainable Access programme delivery and development. You will be the operational lead to take this forward. In addition, we have a bursary fund available this year via the University of Lincoln and Health Education East Midlands (HEEM).
Next year, CLIP plans to run two pathways in each of its centres in Market Rasen, Mablethorpe and Gainsborough plus a new remote programme to a wider geographic audience:
Access to HE Diploma: Health Professions
Access to HE Diploma: Humanities and Social Sciences
Access to HE Diploma: Social Sciences (Distance Learning only).
It is our intention that the Coordinator will also be Course Tutor to the Health Professions route (although we would consider a Humanities and Social Science lead in exceptional circumstances). There will be a second Course Tutor for Humanities/Social Sciences. The Distance Learning route is being developed by an existing staff member.
