Market Rasen

The Learning Centre in Market Rasen has been open since 2000. We offer a programme for 16-18s called Flare as well as accredited and non-accredited courses for adults.

Reception is in Café CLIP, 8 Queen Street.

Support is also available for those wanting to develop their computer skills, seek employment or further training. We hold a weekly Job Club on Tuesday mornings 10.00 - 12.00.

Spanish for Improvers

At the end of this course, in addition to the skills at the beginner level, you will be able to deal with larger numbers (eg 2007, 150,000); shop for clothing, other goods and souvenirs, in shops or at a market; recognise and use past and future tenses; talk about a holiday you have had; and have a wider knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. How to be an Organic Gardener

Photography Level 1

You will explore the creative and technical aspects of digital photography using a digital SLR or ‘bridge’ camera. Customer Service Level 1/2 Award

We are offering a package of skills relating to Customer Service and Marketing including the nature of ‘good’ customer service and its benefits; the importance of first impressions; and key marketing principles eg. the ‘marketing mix’. Emergency First Aid at Work

Everyone should do this course! It includes a wide range of tasks relating to managing an emergency – examination of the casualty, unconsciousness, control of bleeding and burns/scalds. Computing for Beginners

Worried about using computers? This course gets you over the barrier of turning the computer on and teaches basic mouse and keyboard techniques, learning how to create a simple document and how to save and print, use email for sending and receiving messages and basic internet uses for everyday tasks. Maths Functional Skills Level 2 (intensive)

A fantastic opportunity to brush up on your maths skills in preparation for taking the GCSE Maths or Access to HE courses next year. Fiction and Non-Fiction Writing - Bridge to GCSE

Screen Printing

Orienteering Skills

The Bronze Award teaches the basic of map reading skills, route planning and enjoyment of the countryside. This course is open to all but note that we shall be out in the local Wolds Countryside on both days – even if it’s raining! The aim is that by the end of the course you will be able to plan and follow your own walks in the countryside using public rights of way to suit your own needs and aspirations. Mental Health First Aid

MHFA accredited training courses teach people to spot the symptoms of mental health issues, offer initial help and guide a person towards support. Paediatric First Aid

This course is in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and meets the needs of Ofsted. Wildlife in the Woods

This course will look at the wildlife found in Lincolnshire woodlands from the common grey squirrel found almost everywhere to the rare dormouse found in Bardney Limewoods, and how the different trees affect the populations that inhabit them. Access to Health Professions Level 3
